







A ceremony to mark the 71st anniversary of Kayah State Day was held at the State Hall on Sunday.
Members of the State Administration Council Saw Daniel, U Sai Lone Hsaing, U Shwe Kyein, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Ethnic Affaris U Saw Tun Aung Myint, the Chief Minister and officials attended the ceremony. The attendees saluted the state flag and the fallen leaders, followed by reading of the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Tharay Sithu, Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing. Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin later gave a speech on the Kayah State Day.
The SAC members, the Union Ministers, the Chief Minister and officials presented honorary medals in commemoration of 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day and the certificates of honour in commemoration of the 71st Anniversary Kayah State Day to the recipients.
The outstanding athletes at the Southeast Asia Games and region/state sports competitions and outstanding persons at the Civil Service Academy were also awarded. At night, The SAC members, the Union Ministers, the Chief Minister and officials attended a dinner reception in honour of the 71st anniversary Kayah State Day.
