Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 708 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 11th, 12th and 13th of January, illegal goods including small pendants, walkie-talkies,  Polymex powder, LED bulbs, solar bulbs,  foodstuffs and industrial raw materials worth over 708 million Kyats were seized at the Yangon International Airport and at the Myanmar Industrial Port container checkpoint as well as on the Myawaddy-Hpa-an-Yangon road, at the Naungnon combined checkpoint in Kengtung township and at a warehouse in Dongyway village on the side of Htonebo road.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
