Pagoda Festival: Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Festival to commence soon

This year Mann Shwe Set Taw Pagoda festival is going to kick off on upcoming 25th January for the all visitors from local and abroad.  The Upper and Lower Golden Footprint Pagodas of Mann Shwe Set Taw which is situated on the hill in Minbu township of Magwe region.

Actually there are two pagodas: the Auk Set Taw Ya or the Lower Footprint and the Ahtet Set Taw Ya, the Upper Footprint at the same hill. Mann Shwe Set Taw pagoda festival is yearly celebrated on 5th waxing moon of Tabodwe month of Myanmar calendar to the Myanmar New Year Day.

Local products and memorable souvenirs can be purchased, and all comers will be available to see Eld’s Deer or Golden Deer and star tortoises at the surrounding area and be observed Mann Creek Elephant camp and pleasure and boat services will be provided along the creek.

The Shwe Set Taw Pagoda Festival is one of the longest periods of pagoda festivals in Myanmar.
