COVID-19 Update: 10 new COVID-19 cases reported on January 13

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 10 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 4,209 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 1 patient has recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 633,741 with 19,490 deaths and 614,199 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:07 pm CET, 13 January 2023, there have been over 661 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.70 million deaths.
