Household and population census: Chief Minister observes work process of data collecting

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional ministers observed work processes of the Working Groups of collecting household and population census through door- t0 door service comprising of the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Immigration and Population and departmental officials at the ward-3 in Kyaukdata township of Yangon Region and implementation of the same activities at No.1 ward in Pabedan township on Monday.

During the inspection, the Region Minister for Social Affairs and officials reported on implementing tasks on which the Region Chief Minister called for systematic carrying out for the correct data and public participation in the activities.  To carry out collecting household and population census, the dates when the working groups collect data will be publicized at the ward/village administrative offices and loud speaker announcement will be carried out in advance.

There will be 4 enumeration groups at the rate of 5 people per plot. Each plot will be collected at the rate of 500,000 households and it will be conducted from January 9th to 31st.
