







Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han made inspections in Ayeyawaddy Region on Saturday.
First, at the Industrial Port in Pathein Township, the Union Minister heard report on implementation of industrial project and said that it is necessary to plan for the production of electricity using solar energy; the Ministry will arrange for the purchase of the electricity that will be released when the workplaces are not in use and it will provide all-round assistance if there are any technical needs.
Also, the Union Minister inspected a site near Nyaung Chaung Lay Village of Myaungmya Township where a project is underway to produce fuel pellets from rice husks and other crop wastes. There, he pledged to assist in generating 5 megawatts of electricity for use in the project.
It is necessary to provide electricity to 7 surrounding villages. And, he toured and inspected the conditions of the project. At the rice husk fueled electric power plant in the Township, the Union Minister urged concerned officials to generate electricity in January 2023 as planned. The concerned department will assist in power line installation. And, he inspected the condition of the machines installed at the plant.
