U-18 women’s football tournament: Mandalay Region Team beat Shan State Team 2-1

The final match of the SAC Chairman’s Trophy States and Regions (Invitational) U-18 women’s football tournament marking the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 and awarding ceremony was held at the WunnaTheikdhi Football stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday evening.

Chairman of the State Administration Prime Minister Senior General Min AungHlaing and wife DawKyuKyuHla enjoyed the final match and presented prizes. In the final match, Mandalay Region Team beat Shan State Team 2:1.

It was followed by the prize awarding ceremony where members of the SAC Lt-Gen SoeHtut, U Sai Lone Saing, U MoungHar, JengPhangNawTaung and Daw Aye Nu Sein presented honorary medals and cash awards to the best players.

SAC members Lt-Gen Moe MyintTun, Admiral Tin Aung San and GeneralMyaTunOo presented individual medals, honorary awards and honoraria to the 4th, 3rd and 2nd winning teams.

Joint Secretary of the SAC Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo then presented medals individually to the first winning Mandalay Region team. SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife then presented honoraria and championship trophy to the 1st winning Mandalay region team and cordially greeted the athletes.

For uplifting Myanmar’s sports standards and emerging outstanding new generation women footballers from Regions and States, jointly  organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Myanmar Football Federation, the SAC Chairman’s Trophy states and regions (Invitational) U-18 women’s football tournament was held starting 5th December.

In the Final match held on 19th December, Shan State Team and Mandalay Region Team competed and the Mandalay Region Team won Championship trophy.
