Four migrants die in English Channel boat capsizes

Four people have died in the collapse of a migrant boat that attempted to cross the English Channel on Wednesday morning, amid freezing temperatures.Footage showed passengers onboard the sinking vessel seeking rescue from a passing-by fishing boat, while surrounded by stormy waters.

The British and French Navy, Coastguard and RNLI lifeboats attended the scene to provide assistance, as 39 others were rescued. Thousands of migrants have relied on small boats to cross the Channel in hopes of receiving asylum in the U.K.
