Biden toasts African leaders at White House dinner

President Joe Biden told dozens of African leaders gathered in Washington that the United States is “all in on Africa’s future," laying out billions in promised government funding and private investment to help the growing continent in health, infrastructure, business and technology.

During a dinner at the White House, Biden and the Chairperson of the African Union, Senegalese President MackySall raised their glasses to toast the friendship and partnership of the United States and Africa. Biden said earlier Friday that the 55 billion USD in committed investments over the next three years was “just the beginning.”He has also announced more than 15 billion USD in private trade and investment commitments and partnerships.
