Blinken meets with Ethiopian PM at summit

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali at the U.S. Africa Leaders’ Summit Washington on Thursday.

The summit is the biggest international gathering in Washington since before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Blinken, defense chief Lloyd Austin and other key U.S. leaders have been meeting with individual African leaders, as well as participating in a number diplomatic and security panel discussions. Discussions at the three-day summit have been focused on the coronavirus, climate change, trade and more.
