United Patriotic Spirit: 102nd Anniversary of National Victory Day held

The 102nd Anniversary of National Victory Day celebrated at the Basic Education High School No. 2 Dagon Myoma School in Yangon region on Thursday. 

This year theme is “To be united by the entire national people for all-round development of the nation”.

Ko Ko Naing, Principal, B.E.H.S (2) Dagon, said " Every 10th Waning day of Tazaungmone is the National Victory Day of Myanmar. Myanmar citizens greatly value the National Victory Day and our Myoma school annually holds the celebration." 

All ethnic national people adore the National Victory Day and celebrate it throughout the nation, aimed at ensuring a sharp and dynamic national spirit.

Nyunt Swe, Chairman, Myanmar Libraries Foundation, said "I am the alumnus of Myoma School. The Head of State's message about the National Day is quite comprehensive. I’d like to give message to the young generations to protect the nation’s independence as a national duty. Only when the young generations have nationalistic fervour, the nation will be peaceful. "

In commemoration of the celebration, the essay, poem, painting, cartoon and poster competitions were held and prizes were presented to winning contestants at the high, middle and basic education level competitions.

Hsu Myat Dadar Lin, Grade-10, 1st Prize Winner (Essay Contest), said " The topic of my essay is “To be united by the entire national people for all round development of the nation. My essay focuses on the importance of nationalistic spirit. The nationalistic spirit is the life blood of a nation and it is the spirit of unity." 

The National Victory Day was a special day for the entire Myanmar national people under colonial rule in unitedly opposing the colonial education of the British colonialists with a united patriotic spirit.
