German envoy: 'Little time' to cut global emissions

Germany's climate envoy Jennifer Morgan said that US President Joe Biden's attendance at COP27 was a good sign that reassured people that the US takes climate change incredibly seriously.

She made the remarks in the German pavilion at COP27 alongside Germany's State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.

She added it was important that both the United States and China are taking their responsibility on implementation and their ambitions seriously. She added that there is little time to halve global emissions by the end of the decade.
