Erdogan: discussed Kyiv grain deal with Guterres

Turkish president said he discussed prioritizing sending grain to "less developed" countries as he talked about the shipment of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea during a call with U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

The issue of prioritizing poorer countries would be raised at a G-20 meeting in Bali later this month, he said.Erdogan said Putin proposed sending grain to countries that could face famine such as Somalia, Djibouti and Sudan, for free.

The two leaders would hold further talks on the issue in Bali, Erdogan said.The Russian President has not yet confirmed his attendance at the summit.
