Israel's army says it intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza heading into its territory late Thursday. Video showed the moment an interception missile meets the rocket, causing an explosion over the sky in Israel's south, bordering Gaza.
It was not immediately clear which militant group fired the rocket and no one has claimed responsibility. It is the first such missile fired at Israel since August. It comes as former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears set to return to power as head of Israel's most right-wing government ever after winning this week's national election.
