Students flock to La Paz streets to dance folk

Thousands of dancers turned out to the streets of La Paz on Saturday to celebrate the annual University Folkloric Entrance, the traditional students' folk fair.Sixty-two dancing groups representing fraternities participated in the event, organized by the Bolivian Higher University of San Andres.
The parade, which highlights Bolivian tradition and heritage, was cancelled for three years during the COVID-19 pandemic.The first University Folkloric Entrance was held in 1988 and comprised just eight different folkloric groups.
