After a deadly mudslide in Venezuela, some residents of Las Tejerías are scrambling to survive in the devastated town. Heavy machinery was seen in the streets removing debris. After the mudslide, a large part of the town remains without electricity, and people have no choice but to go over 25 miles to another city to buy goods.

Authorities said that 50 people have died. Heavy rains through last week produced a mudslide on Saturday. Large amounts of water, mud, debris, rocks, and trees fell on them down the mountain slopes that flank the municipality of 54,000 inhabitants.
