Hundreds rescued amid flood warnings in Australia

Hundreds of people rescued from flood waters as emergency warnings remain in parts of three states in south-east Australia. The warnings continue mainly in parts of the state of Victoria with Rochester one of the towns currently hit hardest by the flooding.

It was announced on Saturday that a man's body was found deceased in floodwaters in Rochester, close to 200 kilometres north of Melbourne. Emergency warnings remained in place on Saturday for parts of Australia's southeast as floods, sparked by days of heavy rain, impacted three states, with hundreds of people having to be rescued from floodwaters.
