Departure of Delegation: Union Minister to attend 28th ASCC meeting

A delegation led by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko left Yangon for Cambodia on Wednesday. This trip is to attend the 28th Meeting of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council in Phnom Penh from the 12th to the 14th of October.

The ASCC is all about realizing the full potential of ASEAN citizens. The ASCC Blueprint 2025 was adopted by the ASEAN Leaders at the 27th ASEAN Summit on 22 November 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ASCC Council works towards an ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community that engages and benefits the people, and is inclusive, sustainable, resilient and dynamic.
