Aid and donations continue to arrive at Las Tejerías town after the massive mudslide that caused the death of at least 39 people, according to official information.
Throughout the country, Venezuelans donated clothes, food and medicines, among other things, to the donation centers that are helping in the distribution of supplies to those affected by the tragic landslide.
Crossing the streets devastated by mud, volunteers walked carrying donations to people. In a state television broadcast, Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro said that 39 bodies had been rescued. “There are still a significant number of missing people, 56 missing.
We are reaching almost a hundred fatalities", he said. Apart from food and clothes, Las Tejerías residents demand water the most. After the mudslide, they were left without running water, and many parts of the town are without electricity.
