Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 120 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 9th and 10th of October, illegal cement boards and smart softener were seized at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint in Mon State and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint in Kayin State.

In total, illegal goods worth over 120 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
