Berlin landmarks lit up as part of light festival

The popular Festival of Lights opened in Berlin on Friday with installations on landmark structures around the German capital.

The festival is in its 18th year with locations such as the famous Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, and Bebelplatz being lit up by artists. This year's concept focused on reducing lighting costs by 75 percent.
