Union Government Meeting: SAC Chairman addresses the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

The Union Government held its meeting 7/2022 in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and gave a speech.

The Prime Minister said after taking the state duty last year, there are hindrances in economic progress of the country due to various circumstances. The World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Asia Development Bank also said that Myanmar’s economic development is showing a negative trend.

Despite that, the country is able to produce and export the products based on agriculture and livestock breeding, and thus, the economy has not been affected much. He said the government is striving for development of economy, paying special emphasis on MSME businesses.

MSME businessmen are urged to make their own effort, and once the business became a strong one, the government will disburse loan which will come in two types of development loan and business loan.  The Prime Minister also stressed to implement the education development tasks for turning out the qualified human resources.

There are in need of human resources in agriculture sector as around 5 million labour force are working abroad. It is needed to use more farm equipment, and the factories are carrying out for production of farm implement while granting the import depending on the needs.

The Prime Minister also encouraged to carry out One Region One Product plan for development of MSME businesses, which could also become tourist attraction in the future. The Union Ministers later made sector wise reports. The Prime Minister concluded that the strength of the nation lies within and all concerned officials are urged to make close supervision for the success of work implementations.
