Sales of Gold: 3 viss of pure gold put on sales through tender system

The sales of 3 viss of pure gold bullion and pure gold ingot through the tender system took place simultaneously at Myanmar Gems Emporium in Yangon and Star Mart in Mandalay on Thursday.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation announced the sales of gold through tender competition, and the floor price was designated at 240 million kyats per viss.

Soe Naing, Deputy General Manager, Myanmar Gems Emporium (Yangon) said "We sold 3 lots of pure gold with 1 viss in each lot to the public through a competitive tender system. The person who can pay the highest price on the basic price for each lot will win the tender. For the tender competition, we made announcement on Myanma Radio and Television and state-owned newspapers."

It is learnt that sales of gold coil to the public will continue as usual.
