COVID-19 Update: 465 new cases reported on October 5

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 465 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 12,479 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there is no patient who died due to the disease while 254 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 625,147 with 19,463 deaths and 599,248 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, Turkiye  and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:01 pm CEST, 5 October 2022, there have been over 616 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.52 million deaths.
