Election matter: UEC Chairman held coordination meeting with sub election commissions

A coordination meeting with regions, states and union territory sub election commissions was held at the meeting hall of the Office of the Chairman of Union Election Commission in the morning on Wednesday for having complete and correct voters list in the regions and states and designating polling stations through video conferencing.

The Union Election Commission is conducting the preparation works to be able to hold the multi party democracy general election and this meeting is held to coordinate the pre-election preparation tasks.

At the meeting, the Chairman of Union Election Commission U Thein Soe instructed to the region and state sub elections to update the population list monthly for the complete and correct voters list in the relevant townships in the regions and states, to delegate the district sub commissions to closely supervise the township sub commissions, to put constant effort for the designation of polling stations, fulfill the materials used by the polling stations.

The UEC itself carried out the formation and designation of polling stations, supplemented the voting booth materials and ground inspection in the 8 townships of the Union Territory and the exerted efforts are needed to put to hold the free and fair, systematic election trusted by many etc.

Next, the electoral officials from the regions, states and union territory and the in-charged sub commission members of the regions and states clarified the preparations for the designation of polling stations, fulfill the materials used by the polling stations for having complete and correct voters list in the regions and states and designating polling stations.
