Rooftop solar power: Aiming to meet the electricity demand

In order to meet the local demand of electricity supply, it’s planned to generate electricity without having to provide land for the installation of Solar Rooftop Photovoltaic (PV) systems on the roofs of homes and buildings in urban area and the solar system for the development of small and medium scale industries. In addition, the benefits such as meeting electricity demand, reducing the construction cost, easy installation and maintenance, bringing long-term development for the nation and people. Therefore, solar power plants are being implemented in order to meet the electricity demand.

Currently, 40 MGW Min-Bu and 30 MGW Tha-Pyay-Wa power plants are being distributed electric power in connection with the national power grid system.

Previously, solar systems were installed only in rural areas and now, it was installed in urban areas as well. For solar systems, it’s necessary to have good electric power quality including performance monitoring and cleaning by following the existing laws, by laws, procedures and technical quality specifications, it’s reported.
