Tourism in Kayin State: Expansion of tourist destinations in Kayin State

The Ministry of Hotel and Tourism (Kayin State) is implementing theexpansion of tourist destination sites in Kayin State.

There are22 tourist destination sites including Sadan Cave, Yathapyan cave, KyoneHtaw waterfall, Mount Zwegabin and lumbiniGarden in Kayin State.

Director, Directorate of hotel and Tourism (Kayin), Thet Linn said "There are 22 tourist destinations in Kayin State.We are developing 9 new tourist destination sites.In addition, We targeted to develop PathiStream, Shwe than TaungGyiresort and the Paletwa dam vacation trip, cruise ship trip along the thanlwin river and air balloon riding vacation in the future. "

As Kayin State is endowed with the scenic geographical features and sources of ecotourism, over one million local visitors and over 2.6 lakhs of international visitors visited Kayin State in 2019. The implementing the expansion of the new tourist destinations can help to promote the tourism sector.
