US, Australia, and Japan express defense unity

U.S. Secretary of Defense LLoyd Austin met with Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles and Japanese Defence Minister Nobuo Kishi for trilateral meetings on the three nations' alliance in Honolulu, Hawaii Saturday.

The defense ministers will hold a trilateral meeting to discuss their continued support to Ukraine and their strengthened ties for Indo - Pacific security, stability and prosperity.

Austin and his allies reiterated that the architecture of their alliance fosters economic growth and pillars of stability in the region. The three ministers focused on working together to tackle the challenges that have undermined the foundation of the international order as seen by like-minded nations.
