




In order to response fire hazard and natural disasters in a timely manner in Mandalay, Myanmar Fire Service Department (Mandalay) opened Command & Control Center (C3) in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Myanmar Fire Service Department (Head Office).
The construction of C3 was completed in April and communicating with the head office of Myanmar Fire Service Department. Thanks to the C3 center, Myanmar Fire Service Department has many advantage of being able to see the exact location of fire and extinguish the fire effectively with the necessary fire force.
Zaw Win Tun, Director, Myanmar Fire Service Department(Mandalay) said "In 2021 mini budget year, we have received 200 million kyats approved funds from the regional government. The cameras installed in the C3 center can rotate 360 degrees up to 5km distance. If fires occurring in the downtown can be monitored through those cameras and we can take action immediately. According to the current position of cameras, some areas cannot be monitored by center. So, we will submit upgrade plan for C3 center to the region government in the fiscal year 2023-2024."
Myanmar Fire Service Department (Mandalay) uses the E-watching tower system, GPS system, and IP camera system to quickly identify fire hazards and other disasters.
