Preparations for Variety Show: 2nd Work Coordination Meeting held

The 2nd work coordination meeting of the Leading Committee for organizing a variety concert commemorating the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 was held at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

Firstly, Chairman of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that the meeting is to approve the entertainment programs according to the set dates, logo and theme song as well as the programs presented by the film, theatrical and music organizations.

As the concert is to commemorate the 75th Independence Day, it needs to have essence and to reflect the essence of independence in the people’s mindset. The Union Minister said that holding of the concert will benefit if the people have a sense of nationalism for the state by enjoying the performances that are unique than other ordinary ones.

Later, Vice Chairman-1 of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko said that the Ministry will cooperate with utmost efforts for the successful holding of the concert and Vice Chairman-2 of the Committee Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin discussed that preparations will be made for the open theatre.

Vice Chairman of the Working Committee Deputy Minister U Ye Tint reported arrangements for the concert, work programs and the needs. Officials reported on sector-wise arrangements and plans.

A variety concert commemorating the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day will be held at the open theatre in Nay Pyi Taw City Hall for five days. The Ministry of Information will take responsibility of the concert on 26th to 28th November and the artists from film, theatrical and music industries will perform.

On 29th November, the artists under the office of Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare will stage performance and the artists from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on 30th November.
