COVID-19 Update: 379 New Cases With 1 Death Reported on Sept. 29

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 379 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 12,706 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there is a patient who died due to the disease while 227 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 622,802 with 19,458 deaths and 597,898 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and the Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:29pm CEST, 29 September 2022, there have been over 613 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.52 million deaths.
