







Aiming to safeguard the Myanmar traditional cultural heritage, the officers and staff from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and artistes staged a great drama show “Dignity greater than Life” in Nay Pyi Taw.
Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win enjoyed the second day performance of the drama at Zeyathiri Beikman on Sunday.
The Drama was performed according to the procedures of Myanmar traditional theatrical drama, and the artists played their respective roles outstandingly.
The drama depicts the advent of King Bayintnaung, the birth of his daughter Yaza Datu Kalya, stake driving by two ministers to mark the establishment of the country, the conference of Minyanandameik, story of Natshinnaung, his meeting with Yaza Datu Kalaya, martial arts training, his proposal to Yaza Datu Kalya, declaration of the marriage, the wedding ceremony, preparations to attack Ayudaya troops, manufacturing of artilleries by Nga Zinga, a meeting between Natshinnaung and Nga Zinga, a meeting between Minyahandameik and his commanders, the march to Thanlkyin, Inwa troops attack the Portugal troops and their allies Taungoo troops, an order to dig a tunnel to seize Thanlyin, the fall of Thanlyin walls, the capture of Nga Zinga and Natshinnaung, the legal verdict to give death sentence to Natshinnaung and Nga Zinga.
The drama show was also enjoyed by the Union level personnel, Union Ministers, Senior Military Officers from the Commander-in-Chief Office and their wives, military officers, Tatmadawmen and families of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office.
