Aid to IDPs: Kayah State Government provides basic foodstuffs

Kayah State Government provided aid to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Loikaw Township area on Saturday.

To provide the aid, Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and many other officials visited the Uttarayon Monastery, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Loikaw and the Awungali Sataman/Sataman primary training school (central) where the IDPs are taking shelter. At the Monastery, the Chief Minister paid respects to the Presiding Sayadaw and donated offertories.

And, the Chief Minister met with the IDPs and explained the state government’s efforts for them to to return to the original place of residence and to resume careers, food aid programme and the COVID-19 vaccination programme. After his explanation, the Chief Minister provided such basic foodstuffs as rice, oil and eggs to the IDPs.
