
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 300 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 11,495 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there was one patient who died due to the disease while 226 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 620,744 with 19,453 deaths and 596,506 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, Turkiye and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:39 pm CEST, 23 September 2022, there have been over 611 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.51 million deaths.
