


Bago Region Road Safety Council was held work coordination meeting (1/2022) at Bagon Region Government Office, Taw Win Hantha meeting hall in the morning on 20th September.
First, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win said that human resources age between 20 to 40 who can work have been losing, new traffic lights have been installed by region government for road safety while upgrading old traffic lights, and made walking platforms, steel railings in the middle of the street, flower boxes and routing signs for slow moving vehicles. He added that motorcycles occurred in most of the road accidents, so motorcycles riders are needed to wear helmets systematically and township road safety supervising committees are urged to monitor the following of road safety measures systemically, the educating talks are to conduct with momentum in ward/village tracts by using mobile vehicles, the vehicles’ strength must also be carefully checked when inspecting the cars and motorcycles, efforts to be made in cooperation with relevant B.O.T companies in order to obtain good quality of the main roads and get enough of the road direction indication sign boards and to check that there is no riding vehicles without license.
Afterwards, Regional Head officer of the Bago Region Road Transport Administration Department explained the facts regarding the road safety in Bago Region with power point presentation in detail. Then, Region chief minister instructed necessaries upon the suggestions reported by Road Safety Council members and district administrators.
