







The coordination meeting for boosting production of medicines, personal goods, clothes and construction materials required for the public was held at the meeting hall of the ministry of industry in the morning on 20th September and attended by the Union Minister for industry Dr. Charlie Than, deputy minister U Yin Maung, director generals of directorates and industrial enterprises, managing directors, deputy directors general, general managers and officials.
At the meeting, the union minister said the tasks are to be implemented by complying to the guided instructions given by the Chairman of the State Administration Council as the work guidelines, by boosting production of medicines, personal goods, clothes and construction materials required for the public, the import items can be substituted and spending foreign currency can be saved, the pre-arrangement for the availability of necessary raw materials and readily usable spare parts for the boosting production is needed, systematic quality control in every stage of production process for the competitiveness of products in the market, take special care to protect from wasting and undesired costs to save the cost of production for one unit etc.
Next, the directors general from the directorates and industrial enterprises and managing directors reported the work implementations during August, arrangements for the boosting productions, technical transferring to the micro small and medium enterprises for the rapid growth of economy, turning out the skilled labours and plans to be carried out.
The union minister gave a speech of conclusion to carry out the tasks systematically by drawing plans and schedules as the domestic production industries are implementing for the import substitution.
While the discussion conducted for the capacity building up of the officers of the ministry in the afternoon, the union minister clarified for the senior officers to be able to write report of self-assessment in line with the 10 points of skill framework in detail.
Then, the union minister explained in detail on the questions asked by the senior officials on what they cannot catch and facts that they wanted to know. Afterward, the general managers who earned acknowledgement certificate from the Statistics Council, Medical Council and Engineering Council elaborated the ethics, codes of conduct and criteria formulated by respective council.
