Inspection tour: MOHA Union Minister inspected prisons and farms

The member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen. Soe Htut accompanied by the director general of prisons department U Zaw Min took inspection tours to Daik-U central prison, construction site of new prison in Bago, Nyaung Kha Shay Toll Gate in Waw Township, Taungoo prison, Yamethin prison in Mandalay Region, the status of security, administration, containing rules and regulations and implementation of multiple agriculture and livestock of Nay Pyi Taw multiple agriculture and livestock farms.

During the inspection tours to the prisons, the responsible officials reported the matters on the status of security, administration, containing rules and regulations and implementation of multiple agriculture and livestock of the prisons with power point presentation and the union minister inspected the central guard of prison, kitchen, office for Maintenance of Discipline, dormitories of prisoners and internees, workshop building, bathing tanks, foodstuff warehouse, water purifier plant and instructed to address to avoid from the case of prisoners’ escape through the prison wall and special attention on the security and loosing administrative procedures, special care for the food, accommodation and health of prisoners, giving COVID-19 vaccine by persuading those who are not willing to receive vaccination, conducting test of COVID-19 before accepting into the prison etc.

Next, the union minister and party met with the families of prison staff, instructed necessaries and provided cash for kitchen utensils. When the union minister inspected construction site of new prison building in Bago, the union minister gave necessary instructions to complete the works as the schedule set.

During the inspection of Nyaung Kha Shay Toll Gate in Waw Township, the union minister viewed the X-ray examining machine and instructed to keep inspection of motor vehicles which can carry the weapons and ammunition harmed the life and properties of the public and the state and to be aware on the security measures.

The union minister arrived at Nay Pyi Taw multiple agriculture and livestock breeding farm and inspected status of implementing cultivation and livestock breeding. Then, the union minister inspected the shop selling the products produced by the multiple agriculture and livestock breeding farm and gave necessary instructions.
