
The drugs were seized in Moe Hnyin, Tharzi, Hpa-An and Shwepyitha Townships on September 16 and 17, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of Anti-Narcotic drugs police task force searched a NISSAN ATLAS motor vehicle driven by Maung Soe (a) Khin Maung Soe accompanied by Nay Lin Soe at a combined check-point in Nant See Aung Village, Moe Hnyin Township at 4 p.m. on 16th September and seized 78 kilos of Opium.
At 10 a.m. of the same day, the team stopped and searched a motor cycle driven by Toe Aung on Taunggyi-Meiktila Road near Yinmabin Village of Tharzi Township and confiscated 22,000 stimulant tablets.
On September 17, a motor cycle driven by Khun Myo Khant Nyein accompanied by Soe Tint Oo was searched on Hpa-An-Myawady Road near Eindu Village of Hpa-An Township at 4:45 p.m. and found out 4000 stimulant tablets.
On 10 a.m. on the same day, a house owned by Nyi Nyi Min in Myat Lay Street, Ward (5), Shwepyitha Township was raided and 17,500 stimulant tablets were seized.
They are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated.
