Queen's grandchildren hold vigil around coffin

All eight of Queen Elizabeth II’s grandchildren stood vigil beside her coffin in Westminster Hall on Saturday. Entering together, they stood by the queen’s coffin lying in state, draped in her Royal Standard and capped with a diamond-studded crown.

Charles’ sons, William and Prince Harry, attended along with Princess Anne’s children, Zara Tindall and Peter Philips; Prince Andrew’s two daughters and the two children of Prince Edward.

Meanwhile, thousands of mourners were lining up along the River Thames to pay their last respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Despite waiting times of 16 hours, young and old queued to see the queen's coffin. The queue stretched along the Thames and across Westminster Bridge.
