Rehearsal for the queen's funeral in London

Rehearsals were carried out in the early hours of Saturday morning ahead of the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II on Monday. Thousands of military personnel will play a part in Monday's event.

The state funeral will take place in Westminster Abbey before continuing on to Wellington Arch and Windsor Castle.

London police said the queen's state funeral will be the largest single policing event the force has ever handled, surpassing even the 2012 Summer Olympics and the queen's Platinum Jubilee in June celebrating her 70 years on the throne.
