Protest in Prague over cost of living

A few hundred people gathered in the center of Prague of the Czech Republic on Sunday to protest peacefully against the government amid worries about the rising cost of living. Protesters said they were anxious about rising energy prices as winter approaches.

 European Union nations have struggled to find full consensus on ways to shield the population from dramatically increasing energy prices that threaten to plunge millions into cold and poverty over the winter as Russia chokes off natural gas supplies.
