As the world mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Ugandan media has been at the forefront of telling her story. Many local television and radio stations have had to interrupt normal broadcasting in order to relay events happening in the United Kingdom to their local audiences.

Joyce Nakato, News reporter, NTV Uganda said "What we are seeing from the audience so far is that they are interested in knowing the processes, they are interested in knowing who takes over the crown and what does it mean for Uganda as a country if the UK has a new king. So we have not halted all our programming but what we are doing is that in every news bulletin of ours we make sure that we have a story, at least a prolonged segment."

Uganda's government newspaper, the New Vision, has also been carrying front-page stories remembering the Queens' visit to the country.
