Queen Maxima of the Netherlands visits Houston

The queen of the Netherlands visited Houston Friday, part of a trip to the U.S. this week. Queen Maxima made a four-day visit to the United States for the European royal. The trip began in San Francisco and proceeded with day trips to Los Angeles and Austin.

While in Houston, Queen Maxima was greeted by hundreds of children holding signs and flags. She was set to attend a roundtable to discuss how the nation's fourth largest city can improve its resiliency to flooding. The Netherlands is considered a global leader in flood-management design and initiatives.
