Train crash in Croatia kills 3 people, injures 11

A passenger train and freight train collided Friday night in central Croatia, killing three people, authorities said.The collision happened around 9.30 p.m. near the town of Novska, which is close to Croatia's border with Bosnia, police said in a statement.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that 11 injured people had been taken to local hospitals and there would be an investigation into the cause of the crash. He added that a passenger train had crashed into a stationary freight train.
