COVID-19 Update: 68 new COVID-19 cases reported on August 29

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 68 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 7,918 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 20 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 615,030 with 19,437 deaths and 593,495 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
