Ukrainian sailors taught to use minehunting drones

Britain's Royal Navy has begun training Ukrainian sailors to use subaquatic minehunter drones that will allow them to remove threats from Ukraine's waters.

Over 12 Ukrainian personnel receive the three-week training delivered by the Royal Navy's Diving and Threat Exploitation Group and the US Navy 6th Fleet at a facility in southern England.

Ukraine will receive a total of six autonomous mine-hunting drones from the UK and the US. The drones use sonar technology to detect explosive threats underwater.
