Russian books for Donetsk areas schools, Mariupol

Schools and teachers in the Russian-controlled Donetsk region are preparing to start a new school year under a Russian program and with Russian textbooks.

Shipments of new textbooks have already been delivered at schools in the rebel-controlled Donetsk and the occupied Mariupol.

The Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic said all grades will be supplied with textbooks.

"We hope that the children will study proper literature and acquire proper knowledge," he said. A librarian at a Mariupol school said all the students will have textbooks by September 1st.
