Information Literacy: MOI Union Minister met literati and media personnel

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn met with the members of the National Literary Award Selection Committee and Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Award Selection Committee in Yangon on Friday.

The Union Minister said plans are underway to organize a grand ceremony for the literary awards for 2021 on the Sarsodaw Day which will falls on 23rd November.

He urged the doyen literati to make selection rightfully and deservingly for the Life-long Literary Award, National Literary Award and Sarpay Beikman Literary Award.

It was followed by a round of discussions on selection process for the literary awards. The Union Minister later met with the members of Myanmar Press Council, and urged the council members to educate people on the fake and false news, and strive for establishment of better media industry.
