WBW & NP Week: World Breastfeeding Week & Nutrition Promotion Week

The celebration commemorating Kachin State 2022 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week was held at the meeting room of the state public health department office in the morning on August 26 with the presence of Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan.

At the event, the Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan said such event commemorating Nutrition Promotion Week facilitate the participation of the public in the nutritional campaigns, widen the knowledge awareness on the nutritional values and improve to be more healthy and better nutritious mothers and children. Such a very basic nutritional improvement works for the development of the country should be collaborated with the participation of public and civil societies.

 Next, the chief minister and officials viewed the Video Clip on the activities of Kachin State Public Health Department was screened in commemorating the World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week and the chief minister provided one million Kyats for the public health department.

Then, the chief minister and wife, chief justice of the state high court and wife, state ministers, their wives and state advocate general viewed the exhibition booths displayed the Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week campaign activities and fed the children under five with vitamins and nutritious foods to the expectant mothers, it’s reported.
