




The State Peace Talks Team held a meeting with the peace delegations led by Chair of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization-PNLO Khun Thurein, Chair of the Lahu Democratic Union-LDU Kyar Solomon and Vice-Chair of the Arakan Liberation Party-ALP Saw Mra Razar Lin at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre’s meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw on August 23.
Union Minister at the Union Government Office (1) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, who is also a member of the State Administration Council, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team, SAC member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Min Naung, members of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt. Gen. Min Naing, Lt. Gen. Win Bo Shein, Lt. Gen. Aye Win and Chair of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization-PNLO Khun Thurein, Chair of the Lahu Democratic Union-LDU Kyar Solomon and Vice-Chair of the Arakan Liberation Party-ALP Saw Mra Razar Lin and CEC member Khaing Soe Mra took part in the meeting.
At the meeting, Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Chair of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization-PNLO Khun Thurein on behalf of the attendee EAOs gave opening speeches.
Next, the member of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt. Gen. Win Bo Shein explained regarding with the Schedule-1 Union Legislative List and Schedule 2. Region or State Legislative List and the committee secretary Lt. Gen. Min Naung clarified the Table 2 for phase by phase implementation beyond 2020.
Then, the attendees took part in the mutual discussion on their stances and desires and concluded first day meeting and the second day meeting will be continued on August 24, it’s learnt.
